  3. Master Gardener Volunteer Spring Garden Party & Plant Sale

    Join the Jefferson & Harrison Master Gardener Volunteers on Saturday, April 30th starting at 9AM at the Scio Branch Library (Lower Level, 331 W Main St, Scio, OH) to learn about gardening for indoor and outdoor locations during the growing season and pick up plants from the plant sale! From Bonsai techniques to creating private garden nooks, participants will enjoy hands-on learning and get to take home a craft and variety of plants. Topic Lineup (starting at 9AM):

  4. Landscape Design 101

    Apr. 26, 2022 3:00pm

    Description: Learn about the basics of planning your landscape. This session will cover topics such as selecting the right plant for the right place, site drainage, soil testing, color selection, considerations for texture and size of plants, and creating “rooms” in your own backyard. Participants should plan to bring photos and aerial maps for the handson ‘design-your-own-landscape’ activity.

  5. Junior Leaders Meeting

    Junior Leaders 4‐H members in grades 7‐12 learn about leadership development. The Junior Leaders help in various ways throughout the year. The youth participate in 4‐H Leadership opportunities gain experiences that better equip them to enter the workforce and/or pursue higher education.
