As of today, June 1, the Jefferson County Extension office is back to normal hours - Mondays through Fridays 8AM to 4:30pm! If you are dropping off forms or purchasing soil kits and publications, stop by anytime during our regular hours. If you need to chat with one of our staff (example: talk to Leslie to discuss cloverbud activities or talk to Erika to discuss what's wrong with my plant), call ahead before visiting to make sure they are available to assist you. Samples (plants or insects) can also be dropped off during business hours for identification.
We will be following the Jefferson County Health Department's guidance on COVID. For programs and events, individuals and/or family members may not attend if they or anyone living their household is experiencing any of the following symptoms: fever, cough, shortness of breath, loss of sense of taste or smell, or as been directly exposed (confirmed or suspected) to COVID-19 if they are not fully vaccinated.
COVID-19 vaccinations are our best current protection against infection and a fatal outcome. Fully vaccinated individuals are not required to wear a face mask, however we strongly recommend eligible, but unvaccinated, individuals to continue to properly wear a face mask when social distancing cannot be maintained.
